“Please stop letting non students us our equipment!”

The SCF Library is a public institution and as such, the public is welcome to come in and use our facilities.

However, priority is given to SCF students; so, if you need a computer or study room that is being used by a community member, please let the Library staff know and we will ask the community member to come back at a less busy time so that you may use the equipment.

Comment: “I find it rather unfair that I come into the Library to study and to work on several papers and there is a Lady constantly on her cell phone. There is another person yelling across the room to her friends. If I can’t study and do homework where can I go? I am very serious about my school work. Library should be for that purpose only. Work in may be those other people finding some where else to do that! Thanks.
• The Library is trying to ‘create’ specific ‘quiet’ areas as school work and projects become more collaborative. Currently the 2nd Floor has the ‘quietest’ space.
• Please let the staff know when other people are interfering with your work and we take care of the situation.
• Cell phones should be turned off when patrons enter the building; We are working on improved signs

Cheaper coffee! Faster laptops! But overall, amazing!

Please let the staff, know when someone is too loud and we will ask them to be quiet. Do not feel you need to do this yourself. As computer and group work has increased, so too has the noise level in the Library.

The Library is looking into this possibility. We need to check into replacement costs if journals are not returned.
